Great gig @TheTripleBill at the Vortex Jazz Bar, Dalston

Thanks again for playing... the mix of styles and influences that you work with were effective in creating a fresh and contemporary version of the big band sound.  There was a nice balance of accessible and more challenging material. The performances were energetic and masterful.

Chris Ruffoni, HOOT Creative Arts, Huddersfield

I thought the bands were great; the last track was fantastic. I would definitely like to see them again if they are in the London area.

Mark Petersen was a very good idea to have segments from within a larger ensemble playing separately as the texture gradually built up through the evening…. the atmosphere at the club was lovely and intimate, and it chimed in with the friendly nature of the groups….. I really enjoyed the idea of commemorating Noam Chomsky in one of the pieces.

I enjoyed the dialogue between the two instruments at the beginning, and then the more driving music of the sax/drums/tuba trio. The larger ensemble at the end was very energising and uplifting – there was lots of oomph in it …
